Voting is your right and responsibility as a Filipino—it’s your chance to choose leaders who will shape Parañaque’s future. In the 2025 local election, your vote is your voice, so being informed and prepared is crucial.

With only one ballot, marking it correctly ensures your vote counts and reflects your choice. Avoid errors by understanding the voting process in advance.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to vote in the Parañaque Local Election 2025 to help you navigate election day smoothly and hassle-free.

Know Your Precinct Location

Find out where your designated precinct is before Election Day. This is where you will cast your vote. Prepare a list of candidates to avoid ballot errors. Bring it with you to ensure a smooth voting process.

Identify Yourself to the COMELEC Officer

Search for your name on the voter’s list posted by the precinct. This will verify that you are a registered voter with the COMELEC and provide information on what room in the precinct you will need to go to. After this, identify yourself to the COMELEC office present to get your ballot, ballot secrecy folder, and marking pen. Take note that you don’t need to bring your own pen as COMELEC’s marking pens are specially designed for its ballot and vote-counting machine (VCM).

Cast your ballot

Vote for your chosen candidates. The COMELEC recommends filling out the entire circle to make sure it is counted by the VCM. After filling out your ballot, keep it inside the secrecy folder and bring it to the VCM. Do not leave immediately. Instead, wait for the machine to process your ballot. After this, a clerk will mark your finger with ink and give a voting receipt. Review the voting receipt if it accurately reflects who you voted for. Lastly, make sure to never take a picture of your ballot as it can be considered an election offense.
